Senator Elizabeth Warren has released a DNA test that provides “strong evidence’’ she had a Native American in her family tree dating back 6 to 10 generations. Warren, whose claims to Native American heritage have been mocked by President Donald Trump and other Republicans, provided the test results to the Boston Globe on Sunday to prove that she is indeed telling the truth.

After this revelation, the Trump administration shamelessly have been plotting ways to dismiss the DNA results. White House counselor Kellyanne Conway took it to the extreme when claiming that Warren had used “junk science” to prove that she had Native American ancestors.

Mark Knoller from CBS grabbed the initial statement from Conway in front of the White House driveway:

CNN White House correspondent Abby Phillip also confirmed Conway’s statement:

Despite the irrational claims provided by Conway, Warren’s test results were conducted by Carlos D. Bustamante, a Stanford University professor and expert in the field who won a 2010 MacArthur fellowship, also known as a genius grant, for his work on tracking population migration via DNA analysis.

Conway should find interest in these results seeing that her boss, Trump, now owes Elizabeth Warren’s charity of choice $1,000,000. But then again, the truth rarely seems to interest the Republican Party these days.
