The anonymous op-ed that ran in Wednesday’s New York Times has the Trump administration in crisis-mode. It’s not just one individual who admits that Trump is out of his mind, but “there are dozens and dozens of us,” according to a senior official. Donald Trump is, of course, losing it on Twitter and has even suggested that the individual committed treason. Many people have speculated that Mike Pence penned the op-ed because it contained the word “lodestar,” which the vice-president has used on multiple occasions. Former Trump aide Omarosa Manigault-Newman is pretty sure it came from Pence’s office.
During a bonkers interview on Thursday with Bernie and Sid in the Morning, Omarosa was called an “ingrate” and a “rat” for turning against Donald Trump.
“We are losing right now because Donald Trump is disingenuous about his engagement and his outreach,” she said. “In fact, I believe, he wants to start a race war in this country.”
Manigault-Newman later pointed to the op-ed and suggested it was authored by someone in the vice-president’s office.
“I would say I could narrow it down to Pence’s office,” she said. “The writer, if you read the op-ed, is very specific about being a staffer. I believe, having served as an official for the president, I believe it’s a staffer. I don’t believe it is someone who is at the president or vice president’s level. But because of the choice of words, it is very similar to the speaking style and patterns of someone who would work around the vice president. That’s my opinion.”
The former Apprentice star has been on a media blitz to promote her White House tell-all book Unhinged and she has the receipts to back up her claims. It was revealed this week that Omarosa “taped nearly every conversation she had while working in the White House, including ones with ‘all of the Trumps…’”
It’s difficult to know which former reality show star is telling the truth. On the other hand, only one of them has proof via tape recordings.
