Donald Trump is becoming even more unhinged since the midterm elections which were a referendum on his presidency. For a New York minute yesterday, Trump appeared almost normal as he praised Democratic candidate Andrew Gillum and Nancy Pelosi, then thing took a turn for the worst as he lashed out at “FAKE NEWS, the Enemy of the People!”
On Sunday, presumably before playing golf — who knows — Trump zeroed in on Rep. Adam Schiff (D-Calif), the likely next chairman of the House Intelligence Committee, who he referred to as “Schitt” after the Democrat said his party will challenge the appointment of new acting Attorney General Matthew Whitaker. “The biggest flaw from my point of view is that he was chosen for the purpose of interfering with the Mueller investigation,” Schiff said in an interview.
Trump responded, leaving the world wondering if a 9-year-old unleashed his latest tweet.
“So funny to see little Adam Schitt (D-CA) talking about the fact that Acting Attorney General Matt Whitaker was not approved by the Senate, but not mentioning the fact that Bob Mueller (who is highly conflicted) was not approved by the Senate!” President Exclamation Mark tweeted.

To be clear, Mueller was confirmed by the Senate, 98-0, as the FBI Director in 2001, then Rod Rosenstein appointed Mueller after Trump fired James Comey.
Also, Mueller’s position does not require Senate approval. Democrats argue that the appointment of Whitaker, who was appointed following the resignation of Attorney General Jeff Sessions, should be subject to Congressional approval.
Schiff is, of course, on point. During an interview this morning, Trump said that he would not intervene if Whitaker, his acting U.S. attorney general, moved to curtail Mueller’s investigation of Russian interference in the 2016 presidential election. And Trump, for the record, was not even approved by the American people. He lost the popular vote to a woman he refers to as ‘crooked.’
Buckle up, Mr. Trump, the Democrats are coming and it’s going to be a bumpy ride. The Schitt is about to hit the fan.
