Donald Trump held a rally Wednesday night and continued his days-long attack on four Democratic congresswomen at a rally in Greenville, North Carolina, where a hateful crowd chanted, “Send them back!” and “Traitor!” Of course, Trump prompted the chants with his own tweets, then at the rally with his vicious words used to attack “The Squad.”
After attacking the women for days, a backlash ensued to the point of Democrats voicing concern for the safety of the four Congresswomen of color. Then, on Thursday Trump claimed that he disagrees with the “send her back” chants that rang out after he attacked Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.).
“I was not happy with it,” Trump told reporters at the White House. “I disagree with it.”
After feeding his supporters red meat for days, it only took the mention of Reps. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, D-N.Y., Ilhan Omar, D-Minn., Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., and Ayanna Pressley, D-Mass., for his thousands of supporters to start chanting. Three of the women were born in the U.S.; Omar came to the U.S. as a refugee as a child and has been a citizen for nearly 20 years. But Trump is trying to frame the four women of color as foreigners who hate America.

After the chants rang out, Omar sent out a tweet.

Trump certainly didn’t seem upset over the chants last night. In fact, he appeared to bask in the glory of the moment. And if he does disagree with the chants, then he also disagrees with his racist tweets.
It’s almost as if he’s a hypocrite:
He called out Tlaib for using the ‘F word’ to describe his presidency, adding, ‘That’s not nice, even for me.’ And yet, the president himself used profanity earlier in his speech, complaining about the ‘bullsh–‘ his administration has gone through, referring to the special counsel investigation.”
Trump also used racist rhetoric to attack Sen. Elizabeth Warren, a presidential hopeful who is climbing in the polls.
“Pocahontas is gaining a little bit because we probably used the Pocahontas a little bit too early, but that’s OK, we’ll bring it out of retirement very soon,” Trump said.
On Thursday, the House voted to formally admonish ‘President’ Trump, approving a resolution condemning his racist tweets targeting the four minority congresswomen. Trump claims that the four Congresswomen don’t love our country — even though he ran on a campaign with a slogan suggesting that America isn’t great. Ironically, his supporters were wearing “Make America Great Again” hats while shouting out the chants.
Omar cosponsored a bill that would ensure a victims’ compensation fund for the Sept. 11 attacks, but Kentucky Sen. Rand Paul blocked it. Clearly, Paul, not Omar, hates America, so maybe he should leave. But you won’t hear Trump talking about that.
If something happens to Omar, the blame can go directly on 45’s shoulders.
