Trump supporters elected a troll instead of a president and the former reality show star confirms that every single day as he continues to embarrass our country. First, Donald Trump announced that he will sign a National Emergency over a crisis he manufactured. Trump even admitted that illegal border crossings aren’t an emergency by saying, “I didn’t need to do this.” Then, to further confirm that it’s not really an emergency, he went to play golf. Trump even denied statistics provided by his own administration then called CNN “fake news.” It’s been a wild day and if you’re like most people in this country, right about now you’re suffering from Trump-fatigue, especially after he brought up former President Barack Obama multiple times during his announcement.
So naturally, from there, the thin-skinned president took to his Twitter account to post a video from another Twitter user to mock Democrats for not applauding him at his State of the Union address. The video uses the song “Everybody Hurts” by R.E.M. to lash out at Democrats for not clapping for the narcissistic president.

The video features Democrats, including 2020 hopefuls Sens. Elizabeth Warren (Mass.), Kamala Harris (Calif.), Kirsten Gillibrand (N.Y.) and Cory Booker (N.J.), who are all sitting in their chairs instead of standing up and applauding Trump’s fact-free address to the country.
Also seen in the video: Sens. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) Mazie Hirono (D-Hawaii) and Chuck Schumer (D-N.Y.), as well as Democratic Reps. Adam Schiff (Calif.), Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (N.Y.) and Ilhan Omar (Minn.). Then, the video zeroes in on Mitt Romney who is seen clapping while remaining seated in his chair.
A great idea for a Democratic ad would be to feature the Republicans who applauded after each lie their president told. Trump wants respect but that has to be earned. In October of 2018, Trump declared to Lesley Stahl that he’s “not a baby” but the video he posted today says otherwise. In fact, Trump demonstrates his inability to hold the highest seat in the land every day, from his misspelled tweets, to the temper tantrums he throws when he doesn’t get his way.
We noticed that Trump did not feature Nancy Pelosi sarcastically clapping at the president at the end of his address.
