The White House revoked CNN reporter Jim Acosta’s press credentials then used a doctored video clip to justify it, and now Donald Trump is threatening to yank more press passes. The scandal-plagued president on Friday demanded more “respect” from reporters.
“I think Jim Acosta is a very unprofessional man,” Trump said of the CNN reporter.
When asked how long Acosta’s press credentials will be suspended, Trump said, “As far as I’m concerned, I haven’t made that decision. But it could be others also.”
Trump then called April Ryan a “loser” who “doesn’t know what the hell she is doing.” Trump also called her “nasty.”

Trump, for the record, frequently targets women and black people but we’re sure it’s just a coincidence that he ripped a black female reporter.
Trump also denied the claims that the video tweeted out by White House press secretary Sarah Huckabee Slanders of the Acosta incident was doctored or manipulated. “Nobody manipulated, give me a break. That is dishonest reporting,” he insisted. “All that was was a close up.”
However, an expert who looked at the video says that it was altered.
Acosta has long been an adversary of the White House and Trump does not like being challenged.
Others who work in the field of video editing have weighed in.
1) Took @PressSec Sarah Sanders’ video of briefing
2) Tinted red and made transparent over CSPAN video
3) Red motion is when they doctored video speed
4) Sped up to make Jim Acosta’s motion look like a chop
5) I’ve edited video for 15+ years
6) The White House doctored it pic.twitter.com/q6arkYSx0V

The video was sped up to make Acosta look aggressive when it was actually the White House intern who instigated the incident by repeatedly grabbing the CNN reporter’s mic. April Ryan is an accomplished woman who was named “Journalist of the Year” by the National Association of Black Journalists in 2017. In contrast, Trump is a former reality show star who somehow once bankrupted a casino.
