Admiral McRaven, former commander of the U.S. Special Operations Command, wrote a scathing piece on Donald Trump in the New York Times. McRaven said, among other things, that “If President Trump doesn’t demonstrate the leadership that America needs, then it is time for a new person in the Oval Office.” The opinion piece is titled, “Our Republic Is Under Attack From the President” and McRaven didn’t hold back any punches.
McRaven’s piece has been trending on Twitter, and it’s a really good read. Unfortunately for Donald Trump, he’s never been known to be a reader, and perhaps he saw the image of himself that went with the article and thought it was really cool. After all, we’re dealing with a child, not an adult so of course, the “president” liked the tweet on the social site — and people noticed.
Our dumb AF leader just liked a tweet saying he is threat to the country. pic.twitter.com/LLxTmi5AWs

Twitter users can read, though.
OMG, I just sent that out too. He ends saying Trump needs to be removed from office as soon as possible. 😂

The silhouette looked cool and not like a whiny, bloated mess.

He simply looked at the picture (where he was svelte and imposing). He clearly no longer reads even the headlines. Dumb AF is right. pic.twitter.com/0ndtAJShpD

McRaven wrote that he attended two military events, and observed “an underlying current of frustration, humiliation, anger, and fear that echoed across the sidelines. The America that they believed in was under attack, not from without, but from within.”
At one point in the article, McRaven said a “retired four-star general, grabbed my arm, shook me and shouted, “I don’t like the Democrats, but Trump is destroying the Republic!”
“It is easy to destroy an organization if you have no appreciation for what makes that organization great,” McRaven wrote before ending the piece with:
And if this president doesn’t understand their importance, if this president doesn’t demonstrate the leadership that America needs, both domestically and abroad, then it is time for a new person in the Oval Office — Republican, Democrat or independent — the sooner, the better. The fate of our Republic depends upon it.”
All of the aforementioned was part of the content linked in the tweet that your stable genius “president” liked while he is holding the highest seat in the land. That’s totally not scary at all.
