Special counsel Robert Mueller gave his first public statement on Wednesday which completely destroyed Donald Trump’s repeated “No obstruction!” claims. Although it’s stated in Mueller’s report that he was unable to charge Trump with obstruction due to the DOJ’s restrictions of indicting a sitting president, he made it clear today that it’s up to Congress to investigate and perhaps charge the former reality show star with crimes that he possibly committed.
Sen. Lindsey Graham was at one time a staunch critic of Trump’s but something has changed. In 1999 when Clinton faced impeachment, Graham’s views were the polar opposite of what he’s saying today.
“You don’t even have to be convicted of a crime to lose your job in this constitutional republic if this body determines that your conduct as a public official is clearly out of bounds in your role,” the South Carolina Republican said at the time. “Impeachment is not about punishment. Impeachment is about cleansing the office. Impeachment is about restoring honor and integrity to the office.”
From being a vocal critic of Trump’s, for some reason, Graham is now his biggest defender. Following Mueller’s public statement, Graham took to his Twitter account to defend his president.
“Today’s statement by Mr. Mueller reinforces the findings of his report,” Graham falsely wrote. “And as for me, the case is over. Mr. Mueller has decided to move on and let the report speak for itself. Congress should follow his lead.”
Today’s statement by Mr. Mueller reinforces the findings of his report.
And as for me, the case is over.
Mr. Mueller has decided to move on and let the report speak for itself.
Congress should follow his lead.

You have not even read the full “redacted” Mueller Report yet. Certainly you have not done your duty to acquire the Full “unredacted” Mueller Report. pic.twitter.com/kYZ854OeuH

The report says that it is congresses duty to decide on obstruction.

In one of Graham’s following tweets, he twisted himself into knots in an attempt to spin Mueller’s statement on obstruction. This begs the question: What does Donald have on Lindsey? The South Carolina Republican is willing to sell out his country in order to protect his corrupt president. This goes beyond the pale. As for Donald Trump, he, too, tried to spin Mueller’s remarks but, this isn’t over. In fact, the shit just hit the fan.
