Donald Trump has bragged about the results of Rasmussen polls, which the conservative pollster normally shows him with a higher approval rating than other polls and surveys, but the president won’t tout the newest results. In the past, Trump has called negative polling numbers “fake polls” but he has stood by Rasmussen.
The conservative-leaning pollster found that 43 percent of likely voters approve of Trump’s job performance, making this his lowest mark in the poll since he was at 42 percent in January of 2018. Rasmussen says that 32% Strongly Approve of the job Trump is doing and 46% Strongly Disapprove.

It might have something to do with Trump’s stubbornness in demanding that an expensive vanity-wall be constructed along the Southern border.
The president’s overall job approval rating has been falling since his Oval Office address last week calling for enhanced border security and the building of a wall to help stop illegal immigration. This is his lowest daily approval rating in nearly a year.”
In April of last year, Trump called Rasmussen “accurate.”
“Rasmussen just came out at 51% Approval despite the Fake News Media,” he tweeted at the time. “They were one of the three most accurate on Election Day. Just about the most inaccurate were CNN and ABC News/Washington Post, and they haven’t changed (get new pollsters). Much of the media is a Scam!”

Trump has kept the government shut down for weeks now, leaving 800,000 American workers without paychecks coming in to feed their families. We suspect his approval ratings will take even more of a beating in the near future. RealClearPolitics has Trump at a 41.7 percent average approval rating with 54.9 percent disapproving of his job performance. Trump is the least popular president in the history of polling and it’s only going to get worse for the scandal-plagued former reality show star.
