Donald Trump promised that there would be a “red wave” instead of a blue wave, but on Thursday, Republicans took another beating. It was so bad that Republicans no longer hold any House seats in New England and only one Senate seat. Loss after loss has trickled in after election day in a referendum to Trump. It’s been brutal for the Republican party, and a smack upside the head for Trump, but the president seems to think that his party’s modest gains in the Senate should be reported more instead of the blue wave which rattled Washington.
And to be clear, the Democratic takeover of the House means that Trump’s coveted tax returns are at stake, and investigations will be launched.
“People are not being told that the Republican Party is on track to pick up two seats in the U.S. Senate, and epic victory: 53 to 47,” Trump tweeted. “The Fake News Media only wants to speak of the House, where the Midterm results were better than other sitting Presidents.”

The Internet dragged Trump to school for a reality check.
People are being told this. It’s just not as significant as picking up nearly 40 House seats.

Let’s see. 2 seats in the Senate, or 38-40 in the House and a change of control.
BLUE WAVE = REAL!!

Your midterm results were the worst for Republicans since Watergate 😂🤣

You’ve held all three branches for two years and haven’t been able to accomplish jack. You’ve lost the House and a historic flip in the state races. It’s pathetic you don’t live in reality. It’s also pathetic you can’t seem to grasp the English language.

As we learned from GOP you hired into White House that you only comprehend at 5th Grade level, will keep this simple
House vote was best DEM performance in midterms since NIXON
Senate had 8 Seats that GOP was supposed to pick up. Got only 2
Huge blue wave
CAUSED BY YOU

Spanky my man, GOP had the most favorable Senate election map in history and will only pick up two seats … sad. At the same time, Dems will pick up 40 seats under a highly GOP gerrymandered House map. You were on the ballot and you were wiped out.

1) You haven’t won recount in Florida and runoff in Mississippi hasn’t happened. Currently 51-47 in Senate.
2) Democrats on pace to flip 38-40 House seats. You lost ALL of Orange County, CA.
3) Bush 2002 and Clinton 1998 actually GAINED seats, but whatever.

39 seats flipped from red to blue….7 governor seats flipped from red to blue…312 districts swung left. You were trounced. pic.twitter.com/vGzI6TnhFK

Republicans lost bigly in moderate suburban districts in midterm elections and even ceded ground in deep-red rural districts that voted for Trump in 2016.
America is waiting in anticipation as more indictments are expected to be handed down by Special Counsel Robert Mueller, but we’re sorry you’re having a bad day, Mr. Trump (we are not sorry he’s having a bad day).
